This is your opportunity to compensate CO2 emissions from your travels and support tree-planting and educational activities in schools around the world.
Over the past eight years, the Global Forest Fund has invested over €90,000 into worthy projects around the world.
Travelling affects the climate and the environment that we live in and depend on. To protect our climate, we need to try to alleviate the effects of travelling by plane, car, boat, train, etc. Not an easy task in today's world!
The Global Forest Fund has been established by the Foundation for Environmental Education to offset CO2 emissions from travel. This non-profit fund is managed by the International LEAF Director. The fund invests 90% of its income directly into tree planting and other CO2 compensation efforts that are combined with environmental education activities.
Recent uses of the fund include the establishment of a botanical garden by the Saengthong Vitthaya School in Thailand. A seminar about micro forest promotion was organised by the Thiruvonam School (Government Higher Secondary School) in India.
