The Global Forest Fund
Equipping communities around the world with the funds, tools and educational skills to allow them to make a difference, the Global Forest Fund supports projects engaging schoolchildren in replanting native tree species for the betterment of their society.
Operated by the Foundation for Environmental Education, the Global Forest Fund is unique in that it only funds projects where the people involved also receive education on environmental sustainability in conjunction with their reafforestation efforts.
By engaging young people in this way, the Global Forest Fund instils in them a sense of ownership over their environment, stimulating them to consider how to avoid the mistakes of the past and plan sustainably for the future.
